WHAT: Rutgers’ annual Careers in the Law panel, a free public program to introduce students and others to a variety of career paths within the legal professional, is supported by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Undergraduate Academic Affairs.
WHO: Panelists Roslyn S. Harrison (large firm, intellectual property, trademark and copyright specialties) is a self-employed attorney providing mediation and arbitration services for intellectual property and commercial litigation matters. Now Of Counsel to McCarter & English LLP, she had been a partner and chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. She is an honors graduate of Rutgers Law School. Donna M. Hughes (labor and employment law specialties) is senior vice president, human resources, at Impax Laboratories, a technology-based specialty pharmaceutical company. She has diverse and advanced experience in law firms and as in-house counsel. She earned her bachelor’s and law degrees from Rutgers, where she formerly was an adjunct professor. Judge Edward J. McBride Jr. was appointed to the Superior Court of New Jersey by Gov. Jon Corzine and began his service on the bench in Camden County in 2010. He served in the Criminal Division until September 2011, when he began serving in the Family Division. In November 2013, he was assigned again to the Criminal Division and designated as Presiding Judge. He serves as the Drug Court Judge in Camden County and is a member of the statewide Drug Court visitation team. He is a graduate of Rutgers Law School. William C. Moran Jr. is a member of Huff, Moran & Orron, LLC, a full service law firm for individuals and small businesses since 1969. His areas of practice include wills, trusts, estate planning and estate administration, as well as all phases of probate and probate litigation. More recently he has developed a subspecialty in handling the problems of the elderly. L. Judson Welle is an assistant U.S. Attorney and national security cyber specialist in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Federal District of New Jersey. He graduated from Rutgers in 1996. Moderator: Milton Heumann, distinguished professor of political science and prelaw adviser, Rutgers-New Brunswick.
